This Dignity for All Students Act training provides educators with a comprehensive understanding of the Dignity for All Students Act (DASA) and its application in creating safe, inclusive, and respectful school environments. The course covers the prevention of bullying, harassment, and discrimination, emphasizing legal responsibilities and proactive strategies to address these issues. Participants will develop the skills to identify, intervene, and prevent harmful behaviors, ensuring the dignity and emotional safety of all students. This is a fully online, self-paced training. (Learners have 6 weeks online access)

This training is suitable for educators, administrators, and school staff, offering practical tools for fostering a positive school climate and promoting equity and respect. The length of the training is at least six clock hours. Learners are required to have reliable internet connection, speakers, and a device with internet connection such as phone, laptop, tablet, or desktop computer. This training is required for NYS school personnel. Our DASA Training is approved by NYS Offices of Teaching Initiatives.

COST: $90

An online post-test is included at the end of the course, and is required to successfully complete the course. At least 18/25 questions correct is required to pass the post-test. You have three attempts to successfully complete the post-test (with the same questions). 

DASA Training Content:

  • Introduction to the Dignity Act
  • Understanding Diversity, Multi-cultural Environments, and Examining Personal Biases
  • Developing sensitivity to the experiences of specific student populations
  • Participants will understand the indicators and early warning signs
  • Understanding how school climate and culture have an impact on student achievement and behavior
  • Participants will learn intervention and prevention strategies including how to interact with families
  • Reporting requirements for educators

  3. Upon successfully completing the course, the Participant will be issued a Certificate of Completion immediately online, and course information will be sent electronically to the NYS Office of Teaching Initiatives.
  4. REQUESTED REFUNDS are subject to a $15 refund fee. No refunds will be issued after 1 hour from registration and payment. This is a 6-hour training course.

THE COURSE MUST BE COMPLETED WITHIN SIX (6) WEEKS OF PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION. IF THE COURSE IS NOT COMPLETED WITHIN SIX (6) WEEKS OF PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION, THE COURSE WILL BE DEREGISTERED AND ALL COURSE PROGRESS WILL BE FORFEITED. RE-REGISTRATION FOR THE COURSE WILL REQUIRE A NEW, SEPARATE PAYMENT.

PAYMENT IS REQUIRED IN FULL PRIOR TO TAKING THE COURSE. IF CHARGES ARE REVERSED OR PAYMENT IS NOT RECEIVED, YOUR COURSE PROGRESS WILL BE DELETED AND YOUR CERTIFICATE WILL BE RENDERED INVALID.
