Introduction
Infection Control and Bloodborne Pathogens for Barbers is a 2-hour training which includes a quiz at the end of this presentation. A score of 70% is required to successfully complete this training.

• Ways to Spread Germs / Modes of Transmission
• HIV, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Barber’s Itch, Scalp Ringworm, Impetigo, Head lice, Tetanus, Herpes and STIs
• Prevention strategies
• Owner responsibility
• Cleaning disinfecting and sterilizing implements/tools
• Restricted use of certain items
• Procedures with respect to blood, body fluids and client contact
• Hygienic practices
• Sanitary dress
• Sanitary facilities
• Food and beverage • Towel and chemical storage and MSDS - Product labeling
